To create a jewelry cleaner at home combine:
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon baking soda
1 tablespoon dish detergent
1 cup water
1 piece aluminum foil

Heat the water in the microwave for 1 to 2 minutes.

Cut a piece of aluminum foil that covers the bottom of a small bowl.

Pour hot water into bowl. Place dishwashing liquid, baking soda and salt into bowl. Place jewelry on foil and let sit for 5 to 10 minutes. Rinse jewelry in cool water and dry jewelry completely with a soft cloth. Do not save remainder of solution.
