Most fad diets really don't work. Long term weight loss is really hard to maintain as most fad diets are designed to work for that "right now" weight loss. They may sound too good to be true and many times they are just that.
So to lose weight and keep it off long term, diet and exercise really are the key. It may sound somewhat depressing, especially if you are just starting out. However, you can make it fun. It does not all have to be dull and boring.
Fun ways to exercise include: dance classes, sports, gardening, skating, swimming, etc. Fun ways to eat healthier include: fun and creative food recipes, exotic fruits, natural sweet fruit pops and candies, etc.
Be creative with the old method. It will work for you.
