To make a quick holder for your iPod so it sits upright, reach for that old box of cassette tapes you probably have lying around somewhere. Take the case off a tape, bend it backwards, and set the iPod in the smaller half. The iPod will stand up by itself. This also works on smartphones if you want to use speakerphone without setting your phone down and ruining the sound.
