When he checked, he found that it had not been greased at all (for whatever reason).
After a lube job, check all your grease fittings and make sure they are either clean or have new grease on them.
Another tip is to take a marker and place a discreet mark on your filter. Then check when your service is complete to make sure they did, in fact, change the filter.
