I recently accompanied my fiance on a business trip to upstate, middle-of-nowhere New York. I was chained to the 7-inch internet cable at a low-level hotel for five excruciatingly boring days. Working long hours, I pretty much only had time to get up, work, get dinner and go to sleep. By Wednesday afternoon, my body hurt, I had a searing headache and I felt pretty depressed all around. Wednesday evening I decided to walk to dinner, and in only a few city blocks I felt like a whole new person! I realized all I needed was a little physical activity. If you’re feeling a little depressed or stir crazy, get out of the house. I know you’re tired, I know your days are long, I know all you want to do is sit down. A little sunshine or a walk around the block can change your whole outlook and keep stress at bay, so get out!
