Clam-shell Packaging Troubleshooting

"Clam-shell" packaging is the kind you get with electronics and children's toys. It's usually sturdy and vacuum-sealed and has no easy-pull tab for opening. Usually opening it results in cut fingers and ripping the entire package in half, making it impossible to return the item to the store if necessary. The answer? A can opener. Clamp down on the edge of the package like you would a can, and cut the entire length of the package. Continue until you can easily open the package.
