DIY Non-Electric Refrigerator

Need to keep something cold in a pinch? Camping and need to keep items cool overnight? Try this nifty homemade "refrigerator," that keeps food cool without electricity. You'll need some sand, a small stock pot, a large stock pot, and a hand towel or washcloth.

Place the smaller pot inside the larger pot. Fill the empty space between the pots with wet sand, place the food you want to keep cool inside the smaller pot, and cover the top of the pots with a wet washcloth. As the water evaporates from the sand, it pulls the heat away from the food and keeps it much cooler than the temperature outside.
