Don't Cut Those Coneflowers Down!

Just when you are thinking that the sunflowers and coneflowers are looking nasty in your garden, the birds are thinking, "Yum!" Leave the stalks of seeds there for two reasons: the birds love to perch on the stiff stalks and dine, and the seeds they drop will plant themselves in your garden, increasing your coneflowers for next year.
