Trash bags have a bad habit of creating suction between the bag and the garbage can, making it hard to remove a full bag of trash. If you're sick of the spilling and the bags tearing, try this trick: drill four small holes into the bottom third of your trash can (visually, the holes will be on the sides of the trash can, about 6 inches away from the bottom. The holes should be about 1/2 inch in diameter). The extra airflow will prevent suction -- no more stuck bags!
