Drying wet shoes in the clothes dryer is bad for your shoes and bad for the dryer. However, letting them air dry can lead to moldy, stinky, shoes. If you live in a place with central heating and forced air registers (i.e. heat that "blows"), turn your wet shoes upside down and leave them on the register for a few days.
