When shopping online, if you can't find a coupon code or promotional event, try this trick: put the items you want into your online shopping cart, create an account on the site using your email address, then close your browser. The company will usually email you within a day to say "you left some items in your cart" and offer you a promotional deal (at times up to 25% off or free shipping) if you go back and purchase the items. If it's something you're going to be buying anyway, why not wait a day and see if you can get it for less?
