When freezing soups, stews and chili, place a sturdy plastic freezer bag into a saucepan, then fill it with the soup. Freeze the pan with the soup bag inside of it until the soup takes on the shape of the pan. Remove the bag from the pan and leave it in the freezer until needed. When it comes time to thaw and heat, the frozen block of soup will fit perfectly into the matching pan for easy reheating.
