When you first start running, you might not even be able to imagine finishing a 5k at all, let alone running it at a reasonably quick pace. That's okay! Start out slowly and just keep going -- if you push a little harder each day to go a little faster or a little farther (or both!), you'll be running longer distances in a few weeks. If you keep it up, you'll be able to run a 10k in a matter of months.
