Some pets eat so quickly that they get sick or throw up immediately after eating. You can give them smaller portions, but they can still wolf it down and cause themselves intestinal distress. Here's how to fix this problem with cats: put a golf ball in the middle of the food dish. The cat will have to slow down to eat around the golf ball, preventing eating too quickly. Note: DO NOT do this for dogs -- a dog will most likely eat the golf ball. You can use a tennis ball or something that your dog won't eat; it will have the same effect on the speed at which the dog can eat.
