If you don't want to forget something important on your way out the door, try either of these two tricks. Hang or tape whatever it is that you need -- especially papers and small items -- to your door at eye level. You won't leave the house without seeing the item in question. The other option is to set the item -- especially big things -- on or in the pair of shoes you wear to work. You certainly won't leave the house without shoes, and now you won't leave the house without the item!
