If you're a beginner rock climber and you find yourself getting stuck on walls, you can try a technique called mantling. To mantle, you place one hand on top of a rock that is between the height of your hip and your ribcage. Then, you lock your elbow and use that rock to push yourself up so you can grab a higher rock with your other hand. It'll extend your reach, plus the advanced move will make you look like you've been climbing for years.
