My husband and I decided to make some homemade wine. We got an old whiskey barrel from someone who worked at the Seagrams distillery and went on a hunt for grapes. We got some from a friend and a local winery. After finally coming up with a recipe for the wine, we worked in the garage all evening adding grapes, sugar, etc. We let the wine sit and age then decided to give it a try. WOW! It tasted realllllly strong. (It may be because we aged it in whiskey barrel!) So... that is how I came to find this recipe, basically out of necessity. Using this recipe, the wine was actually good. 2 cups wine 2 cups tonic water 1/4 cup lime juice 1/2 cup sugar water Sugar water: 1 1/2 cup sugar dissolved in 3 cups water Mix all ingredients and chill.
