Quick Cure for a Leaky Faucet

If you've got a faucet leak on your hands, you know all too well how that annoying "drip, drip, drip" can drive anyone to the brink of insanity. If you need a quick fix while you wait for a plumber -- or a tool kit -- try this trick:

Tie a string to the faucet and let it hang all the way down so the bottom just touches the bowl of the sink. The water from the drip will travel down the string and into the sink silently.
