If you need to measure quickly and don't have a ruler or tape measure handy, there are great ways to estimate measurements.
1. Paper - Copy paper and notebook paper is a standard 8 1/2 by 11 inches. It's 1 inch shorter than a ruler, so use a few sheets to get your measuring done quickly.
2. Yourself! - If you're measuring in feet, why not use your body (if able to). Lay down across the floor to measure a room or other space.
