Some Herbs Belong Outside (Where You Can't Smell Them!)

I like my herb garden, I use rosemary on chicken, thyme in my stuffing, and I love Bruschetta with fresh onions and basil. so this year I thought I would save my basil plant and bring it inside. After four days of scrubbing my floor and looking for where kitty had an accident, i realized that the basil catching a draft from the register and spreading its distinctive odor around my house... and it smelled awful! I harvested it and threw out the plant. Things are smelling much less catty now!
