I paint my nails and wait, and wait, and wait...and then I pick up my purse and inevitably dent the polish on something when I was positive it was dry. When you've applied fresh nail polish, dip your hands in a bowl of cold water and keep them submerged for one minute. The cold dries the polish and helps it adhere to nails; it also makes them extra shiny.
