Before you board a plane, open your toiletries that are in plastic squeezy-containers and squeeze a bit of the air out of them. While still squeezing, close the toiletry bottles. When the airplane gets pressurized, your toiletry bottles will have room to expand and won't burst all over your other packed items. To be safe, put your toiletries in a ziplock bag, especially for long flights.
