When saving a presentation in Microsoft PowerPoint, save it as a .pps file instead of a .ppt file (.ppt is the default). Saving your presentation as a .pps means it will open in "presentation mode," so you won't have to click around at the beginning of your presentation trying to get the slideshow to open.
