Use Pepper to Keep Critters Out of Your Bird Feeder

To keep raccoons and squirrels out of your bird feeder, sprinkle some black or cayenne pepper in the tray section of the feeder each time you refill the feeder with seed. This concentrated burst of hot flavoring will quickly teach the critters to stay away, but the birds will not taste it.
