Use Soapy Water as a Homemade Pesticide

If you have beetles and slugs that attack hostas and roses in your garden, but you don't want your kids or pets exposed to harsh chemical pesticides, try squirting them twice a day with soapy water. Most pests die or move on after a few days of soap.
