Jam pies are wonderful little fried tarts filled

Jam pies are wonderful little fried tarts filled with fruit jams, but you can also make quick little pies with your left over pastry. Just cut into squares, add some jam, dampen the edges, fold over and crimp. Then cook them on a cookie sheet next to your full sized pie. They take a fraction of the time, and kids love them. A little powdered sugar on top adds a little sweetness and sass. You can also use store bought pie dough and make up entire batches of them! As for the original jam pies, you can find a recipe at
