I learned this lesson through a dear friend: don't get romantically involved with co-workers unless you seriously intend to date them. Once you enter the working world, you'll find you sometimes encounter social situations with co-workers (usually involving alcohol). Don't put yourself in a romantic situation with your work peers, especially ones you see every day in a professional capacity. It's so incredibly awkward to act like nothing ever happened between you, and you begin to dread every future encounter with them. On the flip side, if you and a co-worker truly like each other and you're not violating any company policies, dating might be worth a shot.
