Eating a bowl of cereal is easy, convenient and fast. The down side of that is all of the sugar intake your body is consuming; instead of grabbing a box of cereal when you go grocery shopping grab either oatmeal or grits. The intake of one bowl of cereal including milk is 22 grams of sugar compared to one bowl of oatmeal being 12 grams of sugar. In one week Monday-Friday that would be 110 grams of sugar intake just on breakfast alone compared to oatmeal being 60 grams.
