According to the CDC, a third of all seniors age 65 and older will take a tumble this year. Help yourself or a parent prevent a fall using these tips:
Get regular exercise and activity; have your eyes checked annually; review your medications with your doctor so you can anticipate any side affects; remove trip hazards from the home. Rugs are a major culprit, as are piles of magazines, decorative items, electrical cords, and slippery floors.
Prevent the fall before it happens!
